BootySculpt: Power Pilates #4: Ball and Weights

This version of Bootysculpt is choreographed to music and uses a ball and light weights as props. It is a total body workout with a glute focus, and finds inspiration from Barre, Pilates, and Strength disciplines!

Instructor Ashley Dunn concludes the Bootysculpt series with a variation of Power Pilates using dumbbells and an unweighted workout ball. You will need two sets of dumbbells for this workout, about 3 and 5 pounds, or you can choose to take this workout fully bodyweight. As you jump into this workout, the intensity is high because you not only work your glutes through squats and squat pulses, but you are simultaneously working your inner thighs and quads while squeezing the ball in between your legs, and targeting the upper body with biceps curls and shoulder presses — And this is only the beginning! Ashley has much more in store for you during this workout; Of course, there is emphasis on the glutes, and isolation on balance and muscular endurance through pulses and isometric holds. You will perform lunges, high planks with a leg lift (with the option to use a resistance band), glute bridges, dead bugs, Russian twists, and oblique crunches with the ball. Important form cues are shared throughout to better your own workout and the workout you guide your participants through, making this a worthwhile session to complete. You will feel the burn after over 45 minutes of work and take away much knowledge to bring to your coaching repertoire!
