IFTA emphasizes lifelong learning and the pursuit of excellence in every delivered experience. As such, we require Continuing Education Credits to hone your craft and renew your certification(s).
All renewals require three steps: earn the correct number of CECs, complete a renewal form, and pay the renewal fee.
One-Year Certifications: For One-Year Certification, 5 CECs are required to renew. All 5 CECs must come from IFTA. We encourage you to earn your CECs over the course of the year rather than waiting until your certification is expiring.
The Renewal Fee is $50 for the first One-Year Certification, $80 for two One-Year Certifications, and $110 for three or more One-Year Certifications. The same 5 CECs may be used to renew all One-Year Certifications.

Two-Year Certifications: For Two-Year Certifications, 10 CECs are required to renew if all come from IFTA. We accept a mix and match of approved outside CECs for a two year certification, but then 12 CECs are required. We recognize 4 CECs from outside sources, and then 8 CECs must come from IFTA. We encourage you to earn your CECs over the course of two years rather than waiting until your certification is expiring.
The Renewal Fee is $85 for the first Two-Year Certification, $135 for two Two-Year Certifications, and $175 for three or more Two-Year Certifications. The same 10 CECs may be used to renew all Two-Year Certifications.

I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed the Group Fitness Certification. It was tons better than my original certification I received in-person with AFAA. Gay really knows her stuff and I will be looking forward to getting some continuing education with her! Thank you so much for bringing this certification to our facility!
I had about a million questions as I went through the certification process. The team at IFTA helped me with ALL of them. They all know their stuff, but one of the best parts about IFTA is that when you call the office, you actually get to talk to them and they are more than happy to help! The coaching and support has been completely worth switching to IFTA.
The online course was easy to follow and packed with information. I enjoyed the exercise science piece paired with the practical parts of personal training. I would imagine the in-person practical part would be exceptional, and I will look to audit that as soon as there is one scheduled in my area!
I am SO happy with IFTA.
I feel confident and comfortable in my ability to teach classes, and I owe that to the incredible team at IFTA.
They know their stuff and they truly want to help you to become the best version of your instructor self!
