Powerball (resistaball)

This total-body strength and core session utilizes the Powerball (or Resistaball) to challenge your stability and power. You will perform a variety of exercises, including the ball pass, side lunges, pushups, crunches, hamstring heel lifts, oblique crunches, a four-layer plank series, and a pike on the ball. Essential alignment and safety cues are provided throughout, such as ensuring that during the ball pass, you only take your legs as low as possible without compromising the lower back. Utilizing a powerball in your programming requires that you are always actively engaging target areas, so many cues are provided to help you and your participants engage the correct muscles and prevent injury. Of course, this workout can be for anyone looking for a functional strength training session, so modifications and progressions are continually provided. Breathwork, active core engagement, and dynamic stretching are at the forefront of this workout, allowing you to hit all areas of the body and feel the power in every exercise of the way!

If you learn best by doing – we’ve got you covered! At IFTA we offer a variety of educational videos worth 3.0 IFTA CECs (Continuing Education Credits).

Regardless of which Certification you have, you may choose any topic to use towards renewal.

  • A One-year renewal requires 5 earned CECs over the course of a year.
  • A Two-year renewal requires 10 earned CECs over the course of two years if all are from IFTA.
  • Mixing and matching CECs from an approved partner company is allowed only for a two-year renewal.
  • If mixing and matching, 8 CECs must come from IFTA, and 4 can come from an approved outside source.
