Continuing Education Credits (CECs) & Renewals

IFTA offers a variety of educational articles worth 1.0 IFTA CEC (Continuing Education Credit).

Regardless of which Certification you have, you may choose any topic to use towards renewal.

  • A One-year renewal requires 5 earned CECs over the course of a year.
  • A Two-year renewal requires 10 earned CECs over the course of two years if all are from IFTA.
  • Mixing and matching CECs from an approved partner company is allowed only for a two-year renewal.
  • If mixing and matching, 8 CECs must come from IFTA, and 4 can come from an approved outside source.
